Welcome to Garner's SmartGov Permit & Inspection Portal

Please utilize the Town of Garner's SmartGov Permit and Inspection Portal for the following:

- Submitting permit applications
- Paying development fees
- Viewing staff comments on electronic plan reviews
- Requesting inspections from the Planning, Engineering, and Inspections departments

All new permit applications must be submitted through the portal; paper applications and plan sets will no longer be accepted. Both initial submissions and re-submissions are now accepted on a rolling basis.

**Scam Alert**

We believe that scammers are attempting to collect payment for invoices supposedly from "Garner." The public will receive emails regarding development applications and fees only from our SmartGov portal, and they should make payments using only the portal.

If you receive suspicious invoices or messages, please contact the Town’s Development Services office directly at 919-773-4433 or via email at dss@garnernc.gov to verify their legitimacy.

Convenience Fees:

The Town of Garner uses Point & Pay, a third-party vendor, to accept online payment of development fees. Point & Pay assesses a convenience fee for all payments made by credit/debit cards or electronic checks. This fee is paid to Point & Pay, not the Town. Fees are 3% for credit/debit cards (minimum $2) or a flat fee of $3.00 for E-checks.
